Health At Every Size (HAES) Approach

American society promotes the idea that our size determines our worth. Unfortunately, there are many healthcare providers that focus on weight loss as a primary intervention/goal. Medical nutrition therapy (MNT) with me will include looking at mental health, labs, activity level, sleep, energy, etc. Throw BMI out the window! It is not a determinant of health.
